Subject: Get Real America
we are financing Mexico's failure to bring real social change....with the attitude of this film we should be importing the poor from India, China and every country in Africa. Yes, the Statue of Liberty does welcome immigration....i do too...but not an invasion. At this rate our social welfare system is collapsing. The America of yesterday is not the America of today. These people are being exploited by Democrats(for votes) and Republicans(for cheap labor) and hurting the American people by lowering wages.

Subject: I liked this very much
This film is gripping in it's very casual and very street-level account of something truly sad. I have nothing to say about the topic of immigration, except to quote the words at the bottom of a statue called Liberty Enlightening the World, known more commonly as the Statue of Liberty, given to the United States by France, and passed by my ancestors and countless others as they sailed into Ellis Island:

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Thanks for sharing this video. I live just off of Cesar Chavez. As a mono-lingual English speaker I appreciate the opportunity to hear (read) the experiences of these guys.
