Subject: Interesting
This film is a good tool to introduce genetics to anyone who has trouble understanding the concept.
Great strides have been made in genetic science since this film was made, but it is still informative and useful.

Subject: Great!
GREAT film here, even though it IS 30 + mins, about genetics. Scientist guy hosts a "round table" of normal folk asking questions about genes, DNA and other things scientists were tackling at this time. A lot of it they didn't know then (eg, cloning etc) and a lot they were just finding about (eg hybrid planting - this was a miracle find then). Never gets dull at all. The panel is cute (I REALLY liked the lady with the guy and her STUNNED look on her face throughout the film) and the scientist guy is entertaining as well. Almost the perfect science film.

Subject: From Mendel to Crick and Watson
Great film, pitched at a good level for the layman to understand. Explaining and illustrating the development of heredity and genetic theory from Mendel through to Crick and Watson. Doesn't baffle or patronise. Top ephemera!
