Fine movie which grows on you after first watching. The ending was a bit hastily rounded up I thought.

Subject: Excellent movie

Well acted and directed, featuring several "that guy" actors early in their careers, such as Joe Morton, Steve James, and David Strathairn.

For those worried about copyright, note that this is a restored version produced by the Anarchists' Convention from the UCLA Film and Television Archive. Excellent quality and features a separate commentary track accessible with VLC or another high quality video player.

This kept your attention all the way. Well casted, well filmed, true to the hood, witty, funny. If it was really made for half mill, it was a great movie on a tight budget.

Subject: Copyright?

This is the only download site that cares about copyrights, if its on here you can bet its ok.
But, with IFC and other groups involved in this copy of the film its very hard to take it as a fact.

Great film for only having a $400,000 budget.

Does anyone here seriously believe this is not under copyright protection? Made in 1984 and with Director's Comments, it's a straight rip from a DVD.

It's a great movie, I'm glad it's available for those who wouldn't rent it, and maybe John Sayles gave permission for it's use, but that should be shown somewhere.

Heavy on the irony but very fun to watch, and very different from most of the Sci Fi.

Anamorphic widescreen.
Really not bad. Strange but not bad.
