The gang is putting on another big show in Spanky's cellar, complete with an orchestra led by Buckwheat (Billie Thomas), and planned performances by Darla (Darla Hood) and many of the other neighborhood kids.
However, "King of Crooners" Alfalfa (Carl Switzer), the intended star of the show, crashes the show full of swing music with his off-key rendition of "The Barber of Seville" , having secretly decided that he's only going to sing opera from now on.

Subject: I bet you can't guess who the man that tell Alfalfa to sing is???
I was just watching this video and realized that the man who told Alfalfa to sing is none other than the guy who played Barnaby in "The March of the Wooden Solders" with none other than Laurel and Hardy. I bet none of you out there knew that! This is a classic short piece with the Little Rascals (aka as "Our Gang").

Subject: Love Little Rascals
AlfaAlfa was never a great singer, but I liked the fact that in those days, kids were accepted as kids and didn't have to be 'perfect'..
I miss having these type of shows on for us to enjoy. I fully believe that nowadays kids would love them also..
Although the quality is not the best for this day and time.. It is excellent for the time it was made..
(ps. I still hate the song barber of seville) lol
