Subject: she tastes real nice...
This is campy and a little creepy, but that makes it funny. I like the unintended double entendre humor. And it not being politically correct in our times with the italian stereotype. At first i thought it was Don Novello too from SNL, but just the bad accent is similar.

Subject: Bad ad
Bad ad. This guy is kind of disturbing-looking, pretty creepy. The eyes, maybe. Bad acting, bad accent. Cute ad, I suppose, but can't rate it too high just for the way he looks when he looks at the camera...his leer. I agree with a previous poster; I wouldn't let my child go to the refreshment stand knowing this guy was in there.

Some lecherous man with an accent I just can't figure out (New York? Italian?) mixes up Pop Goes the Weasel with Pop Goes The Whistle. Soon he's making strange googoo eyes at us talking about popcorn, and the last line is creepiest of all for some odd reason. "Try some now.. At Our Refreshment Stand!". God, just kill me now lol

...It's fairly unremarkable. That said, It is cute, and worth downloading.

Must be horrible to be so scared of ethnicity. Lighten up, it's ok to laugh!

Subject: bad ethnic joke
Bad ethnic joke of Italian stereotype falls flat. Why it's a curator's choice for this collection, I have no clue...

Subject: sorry
It is not Don Novello.

oh, Annie you are so right. That is Father Guido
Sarducci. What's he doing now?

Reviewer: AnnieK - [2.0 out of 5 stars] - December 2, 2006
Subject: Don't you know who that is?!
I am convinced that this is "Father" Guido Sarducci (Don Novello) from early Saturday Night Live! Or am I "crazy"! Gotta be him!

Ad is horrible!

Subject: Uninteresting advertisment
I think this ad lacks the Kitchy charm of other Drive-in ads. Still worth downloading if you like old ads.

Subject: Pervert Popcorn?
Seems to me the stereotype here is mainly "pervert". What's with that leer? I wouldn't let my kid go to the snack bar alone with that guy around!

Subject: "Everybody knows the weasel blows...."
A cheap, Kmart version of Chico Marx tries to sell us popcorn because "everybody eats popcorn, she tastes-a real nice." Made in the days when you could use a stereotype to sell popcorn. I'm not buying.
