Subject: Superb
Excellent footage of President Kennedy and the US Navy. I agree that these films were very well produced and very informative. Thanks for posting this Rick.

Subject: Top notch documentary *****
Not only does this excellent documentary feature rare, never before seen footage of John F Kennedy, it also features the vast array of Navy and Marine aviation of the early 60's in brilliant color.

This film is one of the premiere examples of the "lost art" of the historical military documentary; which modern documentarians seem incapable of recreating, with today's rapid flashing fleeting imagery; blasting, irritating music, and swirling, spinning CGI graphic garbage.

Quite to the contrary, this film never "bogs down" or becomes boring; it is top notch from beginning to end, a must download for aviation and military history enthusiasts.

Five stars.

Subject: JFK goes AWOL
A movie seemingly split in two, the first part starts off strongly, as JFK arrives for a day or 2 of reviewing Military exercises. He arrives at the first in a linousine convertible (!!) Such an image is unsettling now. He observes one military exercise, while Vice Prez Johnson goes off and views another. There are also members of the Capitol and Various world leaders on hand. Quite a fascinating shot of 1960's. Unfortunately, it gets bogged down in the 2nd half, where we focus on the military maneuvers. While quite fascinating and amazing to look at, it's sort of a let down especially after the very exciting first half.
